Experienced lecturer in piano tuning and repairs in the former Piano Technology Dept. at the Royal National College for the Blind. We offer a high level of expertise in explaining difficult technical matters in language that the lay-person is able to understand.
Experienced concert tuner: For 5 years we served in the role of regular tuner for all musical functions held by HRH the Prince of Wales at Highgrove House. We have tuned regularly over a period of 10 years for both public and private performances by the international pianist Katya Apekisheva (Professor of Piano at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, and finalist at the Leeds International Piano Competition) and private performances by the international pianist Leslie Howard (President of the Liszt Society). We have also tuned for performances by other international artists including the pianist Benjamin Grosvenor, the violinists Tamsin Little and Jennifer Pike and the chamber ensemble 'The Fibonacci Sequence', the clarinettist Emma Johnson and the singer Brian Rayner Cook. For the past 8 years we have fulfilled all domestic tuning needs for the highly renowned international conductor and Musical Director, English National Opera Martyn Brabbins.
Experienced recording studio tuner: We were for a number of years one of the team of regular tuners serving the Nimbus Records recording company prior to their re-location to Oxfordshire.
Former secondary school music teacher: We offer significant first-hand experience of the needs and concerns of music teachers.
